Saigon Centre named best mixed-use development in Vietnam
Saigon Centre, a distinctive landmark in Ho Chi Minh City’s (HCMC) central business district, has been named the best mixed-use development in Vietnam at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2017. The awards ceremony was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, 26 May 2017.
The achievement attests to Keppel Land’s unwavering commitment to quality and excellence as it continues to create vibrant and innovative environments of enduring value across communities. The award also cements Saigon Centre’s position as HCMC’s new icon and choice live-work-play destination.
Saigon Centre is strategically located on a prime two-hectare site in HCMC’s District 1. Developed in several phases, Phase One was completed in 1996 and comprises a three-storey retail podium, 11 floors of Grade A office space and 89 luxury serviced apartments. Phase One of Saigon Centre has established itself as the preferred business and residential address in HCMC.
Phase Two development, designed by the internationally renowned New York-based architect NBBJ, will comprise 44,000 sm of premium Grade A office space, 55,000 sm retail area and 195 units of luxury serviced apartments when completed. In August 2016, the much anticipated retail mall under Phase Two was opened. It is now 100% committed with over 400 international and local brands, including leading Japanese department store, Takashimaya, as the anchor tenant.
The Asia Pacific Property Awards is part of the International Property Awards by the UK-based International Property Media Ltd. The awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. Judged by an independent panel of 70 industry experts, companies are evaluated on design, quality, service, innovation, originality as well as commitment to sustainability.
