As part of its efforts to ensure safety at its workplace, Keppel Land, with the support of the local Vietnamese partners, is opening a Safety Awareness Centre to provide training to raise the safety standards among the local workforce.

All workers will attend mandatory safety training before they are allowed to work onsite.

Manned by ten certified safety officers, the Centre covers all aspects of training with special focus on height safety for high impact risk activities, as well as safety in specialised areas including welding, pipe fitting, and scaffolding.

The Centre will comprise two classrooms, a safety journey hall, a scaffolding training area, and training zones built to simulate the work environment with additional training on site based on actual site conditions.

Over 450 workers have undergone training since the opening of the Safety Awareness Centre in June 2011. The Centre expects to train approximately 1,200 workers each year.

In HCMC, apart from Riviera Point, Keppel Land is developing The Estella, a prime 1,393-unit condominium development in District 2; Riviera Cove, a 96 resort-style villa development fronting the Rach Chiec River; and phase two of Saigon Centre, an integrated mixed-use development located in the heart of the CBD.
